Medical virtual assistant questions.
How much does a medical virtual assistant cost?
A dedicated Medical VA starts at $400 per week for a full-time associate. Experienced Medical VAs and Certified or Specialized Medical VAs are quoted based on the role, since work like coding, inpatient coding, AR, denials, and specialty billing varies in complexity. We give you a clear quote for your exact role on a short call.
What is the difference between the options?
There are three. A Medical VA handles front-office and administrative work like scheduling, intake, and EHR updates. An Experienced Medical VA adds deeper revenue cycle work such as eligibility, prior authorization, payment posting, AR follow-up, and denials. A Certified or Specialized Medical VA covers certified coders, inpatient and surgical coding, coding QA, and senior specialty roles. The experienced and certified options are quoted by complexity.
Is the assistant dedicated to my practice or shared?
Each associate is dedicated to your practice for up to 40 hours per week. They are not shared across multiple unrelated clients. They work inside your systems, follow your workflows, and integrate with your team like an in-house hire. Part-time schedules are available if you do not need a full 40 hours.
Can your team work in U.S. time zones?
Yes. Associates are available across East Coast, Central, Mountain, and Pacific schedules so they can match your front-office and operating hours.
How do you handle HIPAA and patient information?
Every engagement includes a signed Business Associate Agreement and structured HIPAA onboarding before any access to patient information begins. Associates work only through your approved systems and follow your security and privacy requirements.
How does matching work?
You tell us the role and tier you need, we screen and shortlist healthcare-trained candidates against our talent standard, and you interview and approve the person who fits your team. You stay in control of the hiring decision.
How quickly can an MVA start?
Timelines depend on the role, tier, and system access, but most engagements move from approved candidate to onboarding within about one to two weeks. We confirm a realistic start date during your staffing call.
What do medical virtual assistants not do?
MVAs handle administrative and revenue cycle support work. They do not make clinical decisions, provide medical advice, or replace licensed clinical staff. Clinical judgment and clinical escalations always remain with your licensed team.
Pair MVAs with front-end and billing support.
